Grow Your Safety Circle
Healthy relationships help us feel supported, respected, heard, and safe. This week’s Summer of Safety focus encourages you to Grow Your Safety Circle by identifying the people who bring encouragement, honesty, comfort, and stability into your life. A safety circle may include trusted friends, family members, mentors, counselors, faith leaders, teachers, advocates, or community organizations. These are people and resources you can turn to when you need guidance, emotional support, practical assistance, or simply someone who will listen without judgment.
What Is a Safety Circle?
your well-being. Your circle does not have to be large. A few dependable and caring connections can make a meaningful difference.
Trusted Connections
Consider who helps you feel calm, valued, and understood. Healthy connections should allow you to communicate honestly, make your own decisions, and ask for help without fear of criticism, pressure, or control.
Ask yourself:
· Who listens to me without judging me?
· Who respects my boundaries?
· Who can I contact when I need help?
· Which relationships may need more care, communication, or distance?
